The Destroyer Trilogy
This series was my first attempt at dystopian, and I really enjoyed creating my own system of talents and a world that departed from ours. Hunger Games defintiely had some influence on me getting interested in this genre, but this series takes a different approach to dystopian by combining a broken world with a system of ritual Inquests and talents born of narutal abilites. The concept came from reading a different series that took the every day world and added just a little something different, but it wasn't hidden. The differences were commonplace, and I was intrigued by the idea of melding two worlds.
